Students in the School of Design’s Visual Effects(VFX) programme are equipped to produce visually arresting effects for movies, TV shows, and other media. The technical parts of visual effects, including match movement, digital matte painting, particle simulation, and compositing, are taught to students.
The programme also places a strong emphasis on artistic abilities like lighting, texture creation, and colour grading. Students learn how to blend computer-generated elements and live-action footage flawlessly through practical exercises and instruction in industry-standard software.
So, why is VFX so hot these days?
According to Mr. Keitan Yadav, Chief Operating Officer of Red Chillies Entertainment, technology not only offers viewers a better viewing experience, but it also gives artists and filmmakers more creative freedom to create shots, scenes, and entire films that look amazing and realistic.
The Indian visual effects business has added 85,000 jobs in the last two years alone, and with studios like MPC in Bengaluru on a recruiting binge, there might be an additional 15,00,000 jobs added in the years to come.
