The School of Design acknowledges the importance of user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) designs in the creation of intuitive and engaging digital experiences.

The UI and UX program emphasizes principles of user-centered design, information architecture, interaction design, and usability testing. Students become proficient with industry-standard tools, enabling them to design visually enticing interfaces and unified user experiences across multiple platforms.

Through collaborative projects and apprenticeships, students gain experience conducting user research, creating wireframes and prototypes, and iterating designs in response to user feedback.

In the last five years, the demand for UX/UI has only increased as businesses have gone digital. The UI/UX market was worth US $465 million in 2021 and is projected to reach US $ 1,346 million by 2028’s end. Now is an excellent time to pursue a career in this profession.

User Interface (UI): refers to the visual elements, design, and layout with which users interact when utilizing a digital product or system. It consists of elements like buttons, menus, forms, iconography, and typography. The primary objective of UI design is to create an intuitive, aesthetically attractive, and user-friendly interface that permits effective navigation and interaction with the product.

User Experience (UX): User Experience concentrates on the overall satisfaction and experience users have when interacting with a digital product or system. It includes usability, accessibility, performance, and the emotional response elicited in consumers. UX designers seek to comprehend the requirements, behaviors, and motivations of users in order to create meaningful and enjoyable experiences.
